		<description>Coming from a long line of pacifists, and considering myself one as well, this is a really tough topic for me.  Is expedience justified?  Are there certain situations where violence is the only answer (theoretically, because of the people you are dealing with)?

&quot;My President&quot; is escalating the previous administration&#039;s war (or is he trying to fix it?)... but I can&#039;t say that I&#039;m just *flat out* opposed to what he&#039;s doing.  I assume, as well, that he has more information than what the general public is privy to, and I assume that influences his decisions.

It&#039;s definitely a crappy situation, but I&#039;m not sure that just &quot;giving up&quot; is the answer.  That said, how many more lives will be lost in this mess?
